David Imseng is the CEO and co-founder of recapp IT AG, a company that was launched in 2014. The business offers speech recognition software specialised in local languages and dialects, providing fast and user-friendly solutions for automated video and audio transcription.

He has completed several stints as a Visiting Scholar at the International Computer Science Institute (ICSI) in Berkeley (California, USA), where he worked on developing speech recognition solutions for less common languages. After completing his doctorate, he worked as a research associate at the Idiap Research Institute in Martigny.

David Imseng holds a master's degree in Communication Systems and a doctorate in Electrical, Electronics and Communications engineering, which he obtained at the EPF (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology) in Lausanne.
