Peter Hinssen

Entrepreneur, Author & Innovation Thinker, Nexxworks

Peter Hinssen describes himself as a pathological optimist. In an age of the 'Never Normal', uncertainty is not a problem to be managed but the greatest opportunity we have – the lever for innovation. For over two decades, he has advised corporations and institutions worldwide on how to turn technological change into strategic advantage, among them Google, Microsoft, HSBC, BMW and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Hinssen is an entrepreneur, startup investor and lecturer at London Business School. He founded and led several technology ventures – including companies acquired by Alcatel-Lucent and Belgacom – and served as Entrepreneur in Residence at McKinsey & Company. He is the author of six bestselling books, most recently The Uncertainty Principle (2025).

At the European Economic Forum, Peter Hinssen makes the case for how organisations can harness the momentum of technological and geopolitical disruption — rather than brace against it. A keynote for those who read the cracks in the system as an invitation to act.
