Martin Candinas has represented the Canton of Graubünden in the National Council since 2011. From the outset of his mandate, he has been a member of the Committee for Transport and Telecommunications as well as the Security Policy Committee. A 45-year-old social insurance specialist with a federal diploma, he chairs LITRA, the public transport information service, and SHA, the Association of Swiss Helicopter Companies. In addition, he is active in numerous economic, cultural, and social organisations. In 2022/2023, he served as President of the National Council, heading Switzerland’s lower chamber of parliament.
