Welcome to the Lucerne Dialogue Annual Meeting - the leading European business conference for current and future leaders.
Every year in November, 700 Europeans from business, politics, science and civil society come together to discuss current topics and solutions for the future.
This year we will be focussing on the question: is Europe home alone?
The way we have been doing business over the last thirty years is changing. We sense that Europe's strength is eroding, if not disintegrating, and we are facing the challenges of an increasingly isolated Europe at all levels. We need to find constructive ways to respond to these challenges.
Home Alone - the theme for the Annual Meeting 2024 reflects the realities in the economy, but also in politics, society and academia in Europe and addresses the central question: What do we need to do to avoid waking up to a European economy home alone and incapable of fulfilling its demands?
What risks does the economy face in the context of increased global systemic competition, protectionism and the threat on the eastern border? How do we tackle the challenge of espionage and migration? How can the European economy position itself to remain a global player?
At the Annual Meeting, distinguished personalities from business, politics, science and civil society will share their views on the most pressing issues of our time on stage and discuss solutions for the future in the sessions.
With its innovative dialogue formats, the Annual Meeting offers an opportunity for enriching encounters and dialogue between leaders from different nations, disciplines and generations. After two days, participants return to their everyday lives strengthened and inspired with new ideas.
