Simon Michel studierte Wirtschaftswissenschaften an der Universität St. Gallen. Er ist Mitglied in verschiedenen Verwaltungsräten im Technologie- und Forschungsumfeld sowie Mitglied des Vorstandsausschusses von economiesuisse und des Dachverbands der Schweizer Medizintechnik, Swiss Medtech.
Er wurde 2017 für die FDP in den Kantonsrat des Kantons Solothurn und 2023 in den Nationalrat gewählt.

Simon Michel studied economics at the University of St. Gallen. He is a member of various boards of directors in the technology and research environment and a member of the board committee of economiesuisse and the umbrella organization for Swiss medical technology, Swiss Medtech. He was elected to the Cantonal Council of the Canton of Solothurn for the FDP in 2017, and to the National Council in 2023.
