Als eines von sieben Kindern einer jüdischen Aufsteigerfamilie begann David Goodhart (66) den Bildungsweg der britischen Elite klassisch: am prestigeträchtigen Eton College. Später studierte er Politik und Geschichte und arbeitete lange als Korrespondent für die «Financial Times», unter anderem in Deutschland. Mitte der 1990er gründete er das Magazin «Prospect». Spätestens damit wurde er zu einem der einflussreichsten politischen Analysten auf der Insel.

Heute ist er Head of Demography, Immigration & Integration bei der Denkfabrik Policy Exchange und veröffentlicht Sachbücher. Zuletzt erschien von ihm «Head, Hand, Heart: Why Intelligence Is Over-Rewarded, Manual Workers Matter, and Caregivers Deserve More Respect» (2020).

As one of seven children of an upwardly mobile Jewish family, David Goodhart (66) began the educational path of the British elite in the classical manner: at the prestigious Eton College. Later he studied politics and history and worked for a long time as a correspondent for the "Financial Times", among others in Germany. In the mid-1990s he founded the magazine "Prospect". This made him one of the most influential political analysts on the island.

Today he is Head of Demography, Immigration & Integration at the think tank Policy Exchange and publishes non-fiction books. His most recent book is "Head, Hand, Heart: Why Intelligence Is Over-Rewarded, Manual Workers Matter, and Caregivers Deserve More Respect" (2020).
