Jamil Anderlini

Jamil Anderlini ist Chefredakteur von POLITICO Europe. In dieser Funktion ist er für die journalistische Berichterstattung, die redaktionelle Strategie und das operative Geschäft des 100-köpfigen europäischen Newsrooms verantwortlich.

Der preisgekrönte Journalist, Redakteur und Autor mit Fachkenntnissen in den Bereichen globale Politik, Politik und Wirtschaft kam von der Financial Times zu POLITICO Europe, wo er sechs Jahre lang als Asien-Redakteur, stellvertretender Redakteur und Mitglied des Redaktionsbeirats tätig war und die gesamte redaktionelle Berichterstattung und Strategie in Asien beaufsichtigte.

Zuvor war er Büroleiter der Financial Times in Peking, Peking-Korrespondent der South China Morning Post und Chefredakteur der China Economic Review.

Anderlini ist gebürtiger Amerikaner und Neuseeländer und spricht fließend Mandarin.

Jamil Anderlini is POLITICO Europe’s editor-in-chief, a role in which he is responsible for the publication’s journalistic coverage, editorial strategy and managing operations for the 100-person-strong European newsroom.

An award-winning journalist, editor and published author whose expertise lies in global politics, policy and economics,  he joined POLITICO Europe from the Financial Times where he spent six years as Asia editor, assistant editor and member of the Editorial Board, overseeing all editorial coverage and strategy throughout Asia.

Previously, he held roles as the Financial Times’ bureau chief in Beijing, Beijing correspondent for the South China Morning Post and chief editor of the China Economic Review.

A U.S. and New Zealand native, Anderlini speaks fluent Mandarin.
